- Between May and October, this product ships only with 2nd Day, guaranteed mail.
- Orders that include perishable products are excluded from free shipping.
- Placing separate orders for perishable and non-perishable products may reduce shipping costs for large orders.
- We cannot ship Perishables to P.O. Boxes
A specialty sausage, similar to leberwurst, ideally consumed as a spread on whole grain, toasted, or Nordic crisp breads. This type of cold cut sausage became very popular in the 19th century, served in the afternoon as savory snack, alongside cookies, slices of cakes, and a cup of tea. Teawurst has a slightly tangy flavor and creamy texture, which makes it an ideal bread spread.

- If inventory of this product is not available, we may ship Stiglmeier Teawurst (Mettwurst), which is very similar in taste and flavor. without further notice. We will issue a refund for the difference in price. Please let us know if you don't want a substitution.
- This sausage product is frozen. The freezing process will extend a product's shelf life, taste and quality by up to 3 months, which means it can be safely consumed even if in some cases it's nominal date code may have passed.
- We will only ship perishables in insulated cold shield with ice packs with 2-Day or Next Day Mail, to keep the products cold during most of the shipping time. The sausages may arrive cool or at room temperature, depending on the shipping time and outside temperatures. However, the products are still safe to eat. Please refrigerate immediately after receipt of the shipment. Extra shipping and packaging charges will apply.

According to the Schaller & Weber website, the product date code indicates the sell-by or freeze-by date. Frozen products maintain their quality and safety for 2 to 3 months after the sell-by dates.

It has been years since I was able to purchase this teawurst. It was opened immediately when it arrived, and it was so good!!!!! Just like I remembered when the Schaller and Weber stores were here in NYC. Will continue to purchase it. Please continue to have it available!!!!

Awesome Teawurst
It has been so long since I have been able to buy teawurst-so when I found it here ( and was able to just buy 1 vs. a large amount on other sites), I was thrilled! I ate some the morning after I received it, and was delighted! It tastes just like I remember!!! I also loved how well it was packaged-great job! I will definitely be ordering more in the future!!!
