Description

Spelt ("Dinkel") Type 630 is the lighter, more versatile of Heimatsmühle's refined spelt flours. It has a fine nutty aroma combined with a hearty/savory flavor.

Heimatsmühle describes spelt as an ancient form of wheat (Urform des Weizens) and highlights the grain's protein and gluten characteristics. The flour comes from a protein-rich, golden-yellow grain with a high gluten content, which gives it very good baking properties.

One of the strongest features is its versatility: Type 630 can be used in place of wheat flour in any recipe.

Character: Fine nutty aroma with a hearty spelt flavor.
Key advantage: Protein-rich grain with good gluten content and very good baking performance.
Special feature: Can substitute for wheat flour across a broad range of recipes.
Recommended uses: Spelt waffles, cookies, Hefezopf, cakes and light breads.

Ingredients: 100% spelt.
Protein: 12 g/100 g.
Fiber: 2.2 g/100 g.
