Description

Heimatsmühle's Tipo 00 is an Italian-style wheat flour specifically milled for pizza and Mediterranean baked goods. Its defining characteristic is its exceptionally smooth, fine texture with very little "grip" or coarseness. That allows pizza dough to be rolled or stretched particularly thin, making it well suited to crisp, thin pizza bases.

The flour is made from selected non-GMO wheat and isn't positioned only as a pizza flour. Heimatsmühle also recommends it for ciabatta, focaccia, savory cakes/tarts and puff pastry. In other words, its fine milling and dough-handling characteristics make it the company's specialist flour for Italian and Mediterranean-style baking.

Character: Very smooth and finely milled; less coarse/grippy than standard flour.
Key advantage: Allows pizza dough to be rolled or stretched very thin.
Special feature: Selected raw materials and milling specifically suited to Italian baked goods.
Heimatsmühle tip: Also particularly good for Mediterranean specialties such as ciabatta and focaccia.
Recommended uses: Pizza, focaccia, ciabatta, savory tarts/cakes and puff pastry.
