Its bold flavor is wonderful on toast, English muffins, croissants, and breakfast rolls. Black currant preserve is equally delicious stirred into yogurt, oatmeal, and smoothies or served alongside Brie, Camembert, blue cheese, roasted lamb, venison, or duck. It is also an outstanding ingredient in cakes, pastries, and fruit sauces.

Not as tart as expected
We gave this jar to our son. I just asked him how he liked it - he said he thought it would be a little more tart but on English muffin it was perfect. I mentioned next time he stops by to try the red currant jelly that should have a tart taste. Otherwise jimmy.

Black current fruit spread
This is a better product than the ones we bought and brought back from Germany. We most likely be buying this again when we run out of this stash.
