Description
Lambertz Aachener Kräuter-Printinchen are the bite-sized version of one of Aachen’s most famous specialties. These traditional German Printen have a crisp, firm texture and warmly spiced flavor, with notes of cinnamon and aromatic baking spices complemented by honey, brown sugar and crunchy pieces of rock candy (Krümelkandis). Unlike soft gingerbread, traditional Kräuterprinten contain very little fat, giving them their characteristic firm bite and concentrated spiced sweetness.
Packed in a convenient 150g bag, these miniature Printen are ideal with an afternoon cup of coffee or tea and especially delicious during the Advent and Christmas season. The name Kräuterprinten literally means “herb Printen,” but don't expect a savory cookie—the term refers to the traditional blend of aromatic spices used to give this Aachen gingerbread its distinctive character. Authentic Aachener Printen are protected by the EU as a geographical specialty, making these little cookies a genuine taste of Aachen and its centuries-old baking tradition.
