Wostok’s "Tannenwald" carbonated soda is based on a Georgian soda recipe (from 1887) made with Taiga root, spruce needle oil, eucalyptus and a hint of cardamom. This old-timer brings a novel flavor experience.
WOSTOK is a Berlin-based craft soda (or “Limonade” in the German sense) producer rooted in an intriguing cross‐cultural heritage. The brand was founded around 2009 in Berlin-Kreuzberg by Dutch photographer Joris van Velzen, who had previously spent many years living in Moscow, and was inspired by the designs of the Soviet-era soft drink Baikal (first developed in 1973 by a Moscow institute) and other herbal-flavored carbonates. WOSTOK’s mission is to revive unconventional flavor profiles in a modern, natural way: their products typically eschew artificial flavorings and preservatives, and many are certified organic.
Ingredients: natural mineral water, sugar, carbonic acid, caramelised sugar syrup, black tea extract, flavouring (contains celery, yucca extract, spruce needle oil, taiga root extract), acidifier: citric acid.
Over time WOSTOK has grown from a niche Berlin curiosity to a cult soda brand with distribution in 20+ countries and a dedicated fan community.
