Description
This tin shows a famous picture by art deco painter Gustav Klimt called "Die Erfüllung" ("fulfillment"), also known as "Die Umarmung" ("embrace"). It epicts a loving couple in an intimate embrace. The man is shown from behind, while the woman is depicted with closed eyes and a devoted expression. Klimt uses different patterns to symbolize masculinity and femininity, with the woman wearing a floral dress and the man wearing a cloak with geometric shapes. Klimt is one of Austria's most famous painters from the turn of the century period.
