Fantastic Brandy Candy

I can't rave over this enough. The sugar crust might be a let-down for some, but I didn't feel that way. It was just another interesting bit of a fantastic candy. The brandy was the standout for me - I've only had brandy a couple of times before, and this brandy tasted wonderful. I would definitely buy it again.

very special

My grandparents mailed them to us for Christmas when i was a child, but I haven't had these for many years. I haven't opened the new package, but if they're the same as in the past, they are a special treat: a sugar-chocolote shell filled with Asbach Uralt brandy. So the texture is a bit crunchy, and the sugar takes the edge off of the brandy. It's a unique experience both from a flavor and texture standpoint. They're great as an after-dinner or two per transition to after-dinner coffee or aperitifs.
