Its story traces back to the 15th century in the Swiss town of Bex near Lake Geneva, where miners carved tunnels into the mountains in search of “white gold.” Today, these ancient salt deposits are carefully harvested and washed to preserve their clean taste, delicate texture, and natural alpine character.
