In 1922, 29 year old German candy maker Hans Riegel introduced a revolutionary new product to candy fans in his native Bonn: the gummi bear. As a family business in its third generation, Haribo celebrated their 100 year anniversary in 2020 and 100 Years of Goldbears in 2022.
