A traditional winter holiday cookie with over 1,000 years of history. Created in the region that is now the Rhineland, Netherlands and Belgium, these shortcrust cookies are traditionally spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, cardamom and white pepper and "stamped" with festive, seasonal or regional motifs.
