Salinos are licorice candies beloved in the Rhineland and Netherlands for many decades. With a uniquely trapezoid shape, they have a distinct sweet-salty flavor and are deliciously chewy.
In 1922, 29 year old German candy maker Hans Riegel introduced a revolutionary new product to candy fans in his native Bonn: the gummy bear. Besides the gummy bears, Haribo also features original Rhineland licorice treats, such as these well known salty licorice trapezoids, called Salinos. Made in Germany.
