This is the famous Saxon "Sägespänekuchen" (lit. sawdust cake), a popular chocolate sheet cake, topped by vanilla cream and coconut flakes. This East German specialty is c ertainly not dry and dusty. Quite the opposite. The composition of full flavored cocoa, vanilla cream and coconut creates a sensory delight.
