German Holiday Chocolates With A Kick

It was not Willy Wonka and his gold-wrapped chocolate bar that made German chocolate world-famous around the winter holiday season (remember, the 1971 movie took place in Munich). The claim to fame belongs to the creativity of chocolate manufacturers like Reber and Halloren and their holiday chocolates with a kick: filled with Asbach brandy, Schladerer fruit brandies, Verpoorten eggnog with rum, Teachers whisky, Irish whisky, Cointreau or many other spirits. These liquor-filled chocolate pralines make a wonderful after-dinner dessert, or a sweet afternoon delight when consumed with a good cup of coffee or tea.

Here is the assortment of spirits - surrounded by delicious dark or milk chocolate - you can purchase at our store:   Asbach brandy, the famous Riesling brandy from Ruedesheim on the Rhine; Schladerer Kirschwasser (cherry brandy), Birnengeist (pear brandy) and bradnies made from other Black Forest fruits and berries; Veerporten eggnog rum from the city of Bonn; brandy beans from Brandt and Halloren (also sold under the Laroshell or Boehme brands).

Or choose among the unique holiday range from Ritter: Spekulatius chocolate, hazelnut cream chocolate, roasted almond chocolate.

We have ice wine chocolates, gin & juniper chocolate, rum and raw sugar chocolate; chocolate in shapes of a Christmas tree, Santa Claus, angel, holiday bell, horse shoe, lucky pig, and more.
